Our New Pond

When designing our new backyard we knew a water feature would be great outside the kitchen window. The size of the area was just right, and Amanda loves the sound of running water. We decided on a pond. Andrew's friend Shorty has a similar sized pond that he made himself, and wrote about on his website. Shorty didn't buy a kit with the pond, filter, and accessories from the store like most people. Of course, that made Andrew want to so the same. Unlike Shorty, we bought a pond liner, but Andrew made the filter himself. Then when Mark Dawson was working on our yard he put the pond liner in just the right spot. The timing could not have worked out better. Now we have the pond and filter up and running. Soon to come are some fish from the local lake. Caleb should have a good time fishing with Daddy, and Daddy likes the idea of free fish.
