Camp Allen
May 28 - June 3

Thelma Thompson invited us to be on staff at Camp Allen for a week of summer camp for the "Middlers." Andrew grew up coming to summer camp and retreats here. It was very exciting for him to share it with his family. It was a whole new world for me. Middlers are 5th and 6th graders - and there were 60 of them surrounding us for a whole week! There were also about 15 high school and college-aged staff members around, too. Thelma lined up a sweet girl named Julia to help us keep an eye on Caleb and Micah. Wow! Caleb fell in love with her, he would push my face away and cling to her at some points. I suppose its because she played GI Joes with him in the sand on our first day and won his heart forever. Our little boys were constantly showered with attention. The four of us shared a small bedroom with two sets of bunkbeds. Caleb loved it! He thought we had moved again and liked the idea of us all sharing a room. I don't think so!
